DCYC CONTRACT RATIFIED -IMPRESSIVE WAGE INCREASES APPROVED
Brothers and Sisters,
DCYC members have officially voted to RATIFY the new Collective Bargaining Agreement — and this is a big win for our membership.
This contract delivers historic wage growth and meaningful economic improvements for the employees who show up every day and do the hard work of serving this community.
✅ 2026 – 7% Raise
✅ 2027 – 3% Raise
✅ 2028 – 3.5% Raise
✅ 2029 – 3.5% Raise
PLUS employees will continue to receive anniversary step increases throughout the contract.
Additional Wins Include:
✔ Increased Shift Differential Pay
✔ Increased Trainer Pay
✔ New Line of Duty Death Benefit
✔ Discipline timelines protected
Next Steps
The contract will now move forward to the Douglas County Board for final approval. Once approved, the agreement will be finalized and implementation will begin, including retroactive wage adjustments where applicable.
This was one of the most productive negotiation cycles in DCYC history and it happened because members stayed united, stayed engaged, and trusted the process.
